@Miguelr2600 I have always liked alpine amps because they sound really clean and have great power. What kind of kicker sub do you have? Is it an L7 12″ and if so then those are 750 watts RMS.
@caraudioman16 alright thanks, because im thinking on throwing in a 4 channel for those and my 6×9 type r
@dlagx5 I am only running 25 watts rms over the recommended power for the alpine 4×6′s and the signal is clean so there is no clipping or distortion what so ever. I have never blown any of my speakers or subs.
@yzf7steve Yes factory box. The box is tuned higher with the larger port too.
@yzf7steve they specifically put an over sized port on these boxes for higher tuning compared to their square woofer enclosures which are better for hitting lows with the smaller ports.
@caraudioman16 I would love to know what it’s tuned too, guy wouldn’t give me an answer to be honest..just said set your subsonic filter to 24hz. LOL! I know how to calculate for a single sub but not two sharing the same airspace
@caraudioman16 I don’t think Kicker tunes them really high, I contacted them to see where I should set my subsonic filter too and they told me 24hz so I can’t imagine it’s tuned much higher than mid to low 30′s.
@dlagx5 over powering speakers or subs by a little rarely kill them. It’s all about the signal quality.
shit bangggggggggggn
Nice setup like alpine usta have alpine stuff then switched to kicker amps and they donht sound as nice
sweet setup man!
nice clean loud
@caraudioman16 Ok did the calculations with the specs on the box and it’s tuned roughly to 39′ish hz. So wow yeah that’s tuned pretty high. Surprised they would have you set the subsonic filter so low since they recommend 25 hz.
i got the 4×6 in my car, have you blown them yet, running on 75rms?
I have kicker 12 sub 800watts. What amp do you recommend?
Do you have the factory box with 2 12′s? I have that with the new Alpine M100 1000 watt amp running at 2 ohms. Things pound.
